| Objective on the basis of need | Affordable and simple solution for Converting Scrap Wires and Cables into Reusable Metal |
| Executive summary of the proposed project (In 250 words) | By recycling electronic scrap wires and cables, the project will significantly reduce the volume of e-waste sent to landfills, thereby mitigating environmental pollution and the risks associated with hazardous waste. The extraction and reuse of metals from electronic waste will decrease the need for virgin metal mining, preserving natural resources and reducing the environmental footprint associated with metal extraction. The establishment of recycling facilities will generate employment opportunities in the areas of waste collection, processing, and metal recovery, contributing to local economic growth. Recycled metals can be sold at a lower cost compared to newly mined metals, providing economic benefits to industries that use these materials and potentially reducing production costs. The project will promote the principles of a circular economy by ensuring that electronic scrap is processed and repurposed efficiently, leading to more sustainable consumption and production patterns. The project may drive innovation in recycling technologies and methods, improving efficiency and effectiveness in the recovery of metals from electronic waste. The project will foster community involvement in sustainable practices and raise awareness about the importance of recycling and responsible e-waste management. |
