Project Detail
Objective on the basis of need

Timely Disease Detection: Enable farmers to identify crop diseases at an early stage, reducing the spread and impact of infections.

Resource Optimisation: Minimise the unnecessary use of pesticides and fertilisers by allowing for targeted application, thereby reducing costs and environmental harm.

Increase Yields: Improve overall crop health and productivity by facilitating timely interventions.

Empower Farmers: Provide farmers with access to advanced technology in a user- friendly format, enhancing their decision-making capabilities and promoting technological adoption.

Executive summary of the proposed project (In 250 words)

"KRISHI Mitra is an innovative agricultural solution that leverages drone technology, data analytics, and mobile applications to enhance crop yields and reduce losses. The project plan consists of four key components:

1. Drone Data Acquisition: Drones equipped with multispectral, thermal, and RGB cameras capture comprehensive data on crop health.

2. Data Processing and Analysis: Advanced software processes images, creating seamless maps and applying radiometric correction. Analytical models interpret data, calculating vegetation indices and detecting diseases.

3. Mobile Application Development: A user-friendly app provides farmers with critical insights, including dashboards, detailed reports, and customized recommendations.

4. Support Services and Training: Hands-on training, educational materials, and ongoing customer support ensure farmers effectively utilize KRISHI Mitra.

By integrating these components, KRISHI Mitra enables farmers to:

- Monitor crop health and detect issues early

- Receive data-driven insights for informed decision-making

- Improve crop yields and reduce losses

- Enhance their overall agricultural productivity KRISHI Mitra has the potential to transform Indian agriculture, making it more efficient, productive, and sustainable.

Technology Readiness Level (If not a new project but an advancement of existing know how) 5
Outomes or Deliverables

KRISHI Mitra is expected to yield substantial benefits for farmers, the environment, and the rural economy. Early detection and targeted interventions will reduce crop losses, leading to increased yields and higher profits for farmers. By enabling precise application of agrochemicals only where needed, the project will decrease environmental contamination and contribute to more sustainable farming practices. The social impact of KRISHI Mitra includes improved livelihoods for farmers and fostering a culture of technological adoption within rural communities, contributing to rural development and resilience.
